Owen Fleming

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at Wayne State University. As a health economist, my research primarily focuses on the determinants of childhood preventive health care utilization. In particular, I study why children fall behind on recommended preventive care schedules, as well as the role for health policy in addressing these gaps.

I am also interested in the economics of the healthcare workforce, especially topics pertaining to the role of non-physician practitioners in the healthcare system.
